The Humanities Faculty is a diverse range of subjects united by a shared belief in inspiring a spirit of enquiry into the questions that matter. We aim to explore together what it means to be human in the modern world by opening our students’ minds to the historical, geographical, environmental, religious, spiritual, ethical, philosophical, cultural, moral and social issues which have shaped us all.
Whilst delivering an important body of knowledge we also strongly believe in helping students develop a broad and valuable set of skills from empathy and consideration of the beliefs of others, to mapping, judging the utility of evidence, formulating judgments in extended writing and much more.
