Alternatively, students can supply the Exams Office with a stamped addressed envelope prior to the 'Results Day' and results will be posted that evening, or a student may give an appointed person a signed letter giving that person permission to collect the results on their behalf.
Results will only be emailed to Boarders.
Post Results Services
Request forms can be found below or are available from the Exams Office. Details of fees are given on the form. All post results service requests must be submitted to Mrs Cobley, the Examinations Officer.
Access to scripts
GCE candidates may request copies of their scripts to understand their strengths and weaknesses. This is particularly useful for Year 12 progressing into Year 13. It can also help candidates decide whether to ask the school to submit an Enquiry about Results request.
Requests for priority scripts, (particularly for students wanting to see their script before requesting a re-mark) must be requested by 1pm on Friday 21 August.
Priority scripts are not available for GCSE subjects.
The final date for non-priority requests is 1pm on 2 October. Scripts requested after 21 August may not arrive until November.
Enquiries about Results (Re-mark)
GCE and GCSE candidates may ask the school to submit an Enquiry about Result of an examination. This should be done in consultation with the Head of Subject or Mrs Randall.
If the school submits an enquiry about the result of an examination there are three possible outcomes:
- The original mark is confirmed as correct, and there is no change to the grade
- The original mark is raised so that the final grade may be higher than the original grade received
- The original mark is lowered so that the final grade may be lower than the original grade received.
Consequently the Awarding Bodies require the candidate to sign a form confirming that they understand how the outcome might change, and that they give their consent to the enquiry or appeal being made.
Candidates whose 2015 university place is dependant on the outcome of a re-mark may make a priority Enquiry about Results request up to 1pm on 21 August. Other Enquiries about Results requests must be received by Mrs Cobley by 1pm on Friday 18 September. Fees must be paid when the form is submitted.
