23 Y12 and Y13 students visited Poland during half-term. Staying in Krakow they visited the main square, took part in a historic walking tour of the city. The group also visited the Schindler factory which documented the occupation of Krakow from 1939-45.The visit to the Wieliczka salt mine, a World Heritage site was a highlight on the last day.
On Sunday 17th February the group visited Auschwitz-Birkenau which for all of us was a sobering and emotional experience. The reflections from the students were wonderfully thoughtful and reflective. The picture is by the wall of execution in Auschwitz I.
