Understanding Others

Understanding others means thinking about other peoples feelings and using what we know to act appropriately.

We want our students to be good at 'understanding others' and when they are we notice that they:

• Can see other peoples' points of view
• Are confident in group work
• Can take different roles in debates and group activities
• Are considerate of other peoples' viewpoints

Tips for helping with Understanding Others

• Ask your child to reflect on how they behave in different situations
• Model respect for others viewpoints during arguments
